To ensure safe, reliable, and consistent results, Dimension[x] follows a Service Eligibility policy.
Please review the information below before bringing in a device for repair or diagnostics.
Devices We Do Not Service
We do not service the following categories of devices:
- Video game consoles
- Cell phones
- Dedicated tablets (iPads, Kindles, Android tablets)
- Any device with liquid damage
- Certain Apple hardware repairs — please contact us for eligibility
Systems Not Eligible Due to Build or Assembly Issues
We cannot service computers that have underlying build or assembly problems, including but not limited to:
- Improperly assembled or modified systems
- Missing, loose, or incorrect hardware or fasteners
- Components that are incompatible, incorrectly installed, or unsecured
- Cooling solutions that are improperly mounted or causing stress on components
- Cases or chassis that interfere with internal hardware
-
Signs of physical damage, unsafe modifications, or tampering
(excluding damage that is the disclosed reason for repair, such as a cracked screen or broken hinge)
These conditions can create electrical hazards, component stress, overheating, and unreliable diagnostic results.
For these reasons, systems must meet basic assembly and safety standards before service can be performed.
Why These Policies Exist
These policies are in place to:
- Protect the safety of your device and our technicians
- Prevent hidden or cascading failures caused by improper assembly
- Ensure diagnostics are accurate and reliable
- Maintain consistent service quality across all repairs
Improperly assembled systems or devices with undisclosed damage can result in unpredictable behavior,
inaccurate test results, and potential safety hazards.
If Your Device Is Ineligible
If your device does not meet the above eligibility standards, we recommend:
- Returning it to the original builder or vendor
- Having the system rebuilt or corrected by a qualified PC builder
- Fixing assembly issues and re-submitting the device for service
- Contacting us if you’re unsure whether your device qualifies
Once the underlying issues are corrected, we may be able to continue with service.
